I was not always a runner.  In fact I use to hate it!!  To be honest I hated all types of exercise.  I remember having to run around the track field in high school thinking that it was pure torture.  I would have never imagined that one day I would actually run distance and enjoy it!!  But then I had kids and things did not look like they once did!!  If you are a mom you know exactly what I am talking about!!   I also had friends that were running half marathons and my competitive nature told me that I also had to run a half marathon, just so I could say that I did one!!  ( Yes, I am that type of person, sometimes to competitive.)

        I only started running after I had my last son and I was not a dedicated runner at first.    Its hard to run when you have small kids. It has taken me awhile to get to a point that I actually enjoy running, and there are still days I wonder why I put myself through it.  But I have come to a point in my life that I realize how important it is to exercise and I want my kids to grow up seeing their parents healthy!!  Trust me there are days where I would much rather lay on the couch and some-days the couch does win !!   I have found that if I have a race that I am training for, that I will get outside and run.  I need something to motivate me or I do not exercise.   I ran my first half marathon 3 years ago and since then I have done 5!!  I want to run a marathon at some point, but I can not commit to the training schedule at this point in my life.  Right now I am training for my first ragner relayand I am very excited about!!  I have also heard that they are as addicting as half marathons so we will see!!

     I also love to live in my workout clothes. Its quick and easy to throw on.  I would wear it all the time if I could!!  Below I am linking some of my favorite work out clothing and some that is on my wish list.  I am a Nike fan at heart when it comes to sneakers, but I know there are many other great brands out there!!
